BiOME Consulting Ltd is a specialist ecological consultancy, with an outstanding team of in-house ecologists and ornithologists. Are you an ecologist/ornithologist looking for, or looking to progress, a DIVERSE AND REWARDING CAREER IN ECOLOGICAL CONSULTANCY?

We are seeking ornithologists and ecologists to supplement our team due to increasing workloads. All locations will be considered, and you will work closely with other team members to help deliver surveys, reporting and assessment to a high standard.

• Every year we work on a wide variety of projects, including:

• Bengal Florican impact assessment in Cambodia.

• Significant infrastructure projects

• Surveys (avian and invertebrate) and assessment to inform SSSI condition assessment for Natural England of ten statutorily designated sites across England.

• Nest finding, ringing and monitoring of Whinchat and Curlew at four locations for conservation projects.

• Long-term Stone-curlew monitoring in Norfolk and Suffolk.

• A wide variety of species-specific and generic surveys across the UK.

• Protected species surveys and licencing at a large number of sites across the UK.

Applicants at all levels from Graduate to Principal will be considered. The successful applicants will be self-motivated and will possess the ability to work well within a small team, be reliable and flexible. A clean, full UK drivers licence is essential. GIS capabilities and/or knowledge of Biodiversity Net Gain would be highly beneficial.

Renumeration: 

• The roles are full-time (40hrs/week), although part-time hours may also be considered.

• Competitive salary; Graduate min.: £23,980, Ecologist min.: £28,600, Senior min.: £35,200, Principal min.: £46,200.

• 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
