Expert Witness

During 2016-17 BiOME Consulting were commissioned to act as an expert witness in a public inquiry in relation to a previously granted Premises License near a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in the east of England.

This SSSI supports nationally important numbers of ducks, and surveys to determine the assemblage and numbers of ducks present as well as their distribution within this large site during both the day and night were completed. Following several months of intensive data collection and research we were able to demonstrate that the Premises License for such a venture would likely cause significant adverse impacts to the qualifying features of the SSSI, and as such the license was revoked.
