Key Components of River Condition Assessment:

Habitat and Physical Structure
- Assessing features like streambed composition, riverbank stability, flow variation, and connectivity (e.g., barriers to fish migration).
Hydrological Assessment
- Understanding flow regimes and whether the river maintains natural flow patterns or has been altered (e.g., by dams, diversions).
Geomorphology
- Looking at the shape and form of the river channel, sediment movement, and erosion processes.
