Welcoming (back) Ollie King

Following a 12 month period of travelling/birding in South America we are delighted to welcome Ollie back to BiOME.

Ollie, a Senior Ornithologist/Ecologist and BiOMEs International Biodiversity Lead, is an experienced ornithologist based in Norfolk, with a background in both ecological consultancy and field-based conservation. He has extensive experience delivering a wide range of ornithological surveys, including Schedule 1 breeding bird species. He previously worked as an Assistant Warden at Bardsey Bird and Field Observatory, monitoring avian migration. He has worked across a diverse range of projects, from small-scale conservation monitoring to major national infrastructure developments, and has contributed to projects incorporating innovative monitoring techniques, including acoustic analysis.

Further afield, Ollie has studied visible avian migration through volunteering with HawkCount in Panama and contributing to migration counts in the Netherlands.
